SafeGuarding

Safeguarding

We all have a responsibility to report any concerns we may have regarding the welfare of children in our care to Social Services and to share information with partner agencies.

We have a rigorous and robust recruitment process that gathers evidence about staff suitability to work with children. All references are checked, and all staff, students, governors and volunteers must undergo an enhanced police check. All staff also undertake regular Safeguarding training.

We are required to keep a log of any existing injuries which include explanations from adults and children.

Any allegations made against staff will be dealt with following the advice of the London Safeguarding Children Board. If allegations involve Daycare Staff it will also be reported to OFSTED.

We have a team of Designated Safeguarding Officers at our centre. Their names and roles are displayed in the centre reception area. Whenever the centre is open at least one of the Designated Safeguarding Officers will be on site.
